SETIKA SINGH

Founder & Director

Setika Singh is the Executive Director of Takshila Foundation— the associate body of Takshila Educational Society (TES), a non-profit working in the space of education, rural development, art and culture. She has completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Warwick in Economics followed by a postgraduate degree in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She then worked under the mentorship of the CEO of a prestigious International NGO, Magic Bus India Foundation. While working at Parivartan, she realized the need to take the beautiful handcrafted products made by rural artisans to a larger audience.

POLUDAS NAGENDRA SATISH

Design Mentor

Poludas Nagendra Satish is a designer who completed his Post-Graduation from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. He has an extensive background and expertise working with the textile and craft sectors in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Jharkhand, Orissa and Bihar. Satish leads Kora Design Collaborative, Hyderabad which is a design and research practice initiated by a small group of designers, technicians and master crafts persons. His work is a practical application of the principles of ecology, which sees people as crucial to any successful environmental projects.

SUDHIR KUMAR

Master Weaver

Sudhir Kumar comes from a village called Bhageya, Jharkhand. He was trained at Jharcraft, Ranchi and also has a 5 year experience as a trainer. Sudhir draws his inspiration from the values of Parivartan and he intends to support the community via his trainer’s experience.

SUKESH KUNDU

Master Weaver

Sukesh hails from Nadiya, West Bengal. He has been associated with weaving since he was a child and has been a part of various organisations like Jharcraft, Ranchi and Kolkata craft. His passion for weaving has taught him the various intricacies of modern as well as traditional styles of weaving.

DIGVIJAY SINGH

Coordinator

Digvijay has completed his graduation in Computer Science in 2020. He has worked as production co-ordinator at a dyeing unit in Gujrat. With Sabrangi he got an opportunity to stay close to home while continuing my career in the space of textiles. As a co-ordinator he gets to work with the people learn something new everyday.

GAURAV MAURYA

Photographer & Coordinator

Gaurav has completed his Bachelors in Fine Arts from Allahabad University. Thereafter, he has worked at Bharat Bhavan and Bihar Museum on various art projects. He has also been awarded the young Artists Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture in 2018. At Sabrangi he is involved in photography and managing the development of new products.
